"The best times of your life are yet to come" - My fortune cookie from last week
I'll take it! Typically my fortunes are vague, confusing or downright ominous. But I liked this one a lot and it happened to come on the first day in a while when I was in less pain. Not to get too intense about this, but I'd like to think my dessert was reminding me that Spondylitis is cyclical. Sure, we all know what goes up must come down, but I can't forget that with my health it's always worked the other way too (eventually). And you know what, cookie? Thanks. I really do have a lot to look forward to.
Off to Italy with John and his awesome family for a Trip of a Lifetime ! Be back here on June 27th and, in the meantime, everyone be healthy, safe, and don't forget to love...
Love,
Maya
Safe travels!

I keep my horoscope every morning after I sign into my computer at work. 90% of time, my horoscope is right. In the past, prior to my diagnosis, it was right only 50% of the time. Maybe is like self-fulfilling prophecy but lately, my horoscope is right nine out of ten times. Perhaps your cookie on right on target. I believe that life is what you make it. You can make your life positive and enjoy it with many great adventures. You are still young. Enjoy life and embrace it. Have fun in Italy.
ReplyDeleteI am reading this after you have left but hope the trip was absolutely wonderful and your body kept up with you. My mom, who has severe fibromyalgia just returned from 10 days in England. She spent most of it in a wheelchair, but she has decided not to let anything stop her from living the life she wants to live. She amazes me. Anyhow, I have a feeling your fortune is right. :)
ReplyDeletehope you are having an incredible time in italy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having an amazing time in Italy!
ReplyDeleteHi, Just come across your blog. I dont have Ank Spond but do have rheumatoid and a few other autoimmune inflammatory things to go with it. You will be heading home from your holidays today and I hope you had a fantastic time. I notice you are studying to be a social worker, we desperately need good ones in England so hurry up, qualify and come over! lol Hope you get chance to look up my blog, I only started out a couple of wks ago. PS. Italy isnt all that accessible really, lots of walking narrow steep streets- I hope you are not too wiped out.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you all so much for the kind wishes about my trip!! I know you all understand the significance of "getting away"...for anyone, but I think especially when you're dealing with illness. It really rejuvenated me. I really value all of your positive wishes and words - they give me great strength.
ReplyDeleteWonky Warrior - I'm so glad to have you as a new reader and from way across the pond :) I will go take a look at your blog now
